29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: a) Line 1 Welding Stations: Extension cords were improperly used to provide power to multiple permanently installed cord reels attached overhead to moveable arms, which exposed employees to an electric shock hazard, on or about March 22, 2023. b) Line 2 Welding Stations: Extension cords were improperly used to provide power to multiple permanently installed cord reels attached overhead to moveable arms, which exposed employees to an electric shock hazard, on or about March 22, 2023. c) Line 2 Door Station Crane/Hoist: Extension cords were improperly used to provide power to a permanently installed Pittsburgh Automotive electric hoist, which exposed employees to an electric shock hazard, on or about March 28, 2023. d) Small Can Welding Stations: Extension cords were improperly used to provide power to multiple permanently installed cord reels attached overhead to moveable arms, which exposed employees to an electric shock hazard, on or about March 22, 2023. e) Small Can Scale Area: An extension cord was improperly used to provide power to the 4x4 pallet scale installed just outside the small can paint booth, which exposed employees to an electric shock hazard, on or about March 22, 2023.
