29 CFR 1910.303(c)(3)(i): All splices and joints and the free ends of the conductors were not covered with an insulation equivalent to that of the conductors or with an insulating device identified for the purpose: On or about March 17, 2015, in the EPTD Press Area of Building #1 near Minster Press #51, the splice on the metal air fan (approximately 20 inches x 20 inches and unmarked), did not duplicate the cord's original characteristics; neither the insulation's strength or flexibility characteristics were restored exposing employees to electrical shock and fire hazards.
