29 CFR 1910.146(g)(1): The employer did not provide training so that all employees whose work is regulated by this section acquire the understanding, knowledge, and skills necessary for the safe performance of the duties assigned under this section. a) Production Area- Powder Tank; On or about August 22, 2023, and at times prior, employees were exposed to chemical, entrapment and struck-by hazards, in that employees who are required to enter, clean, and maintenance the Powder Tank were not trained in the hazards of permit confined spaces and the skills necessary to mitigate them. b) Production Area- Cleaner Tank; On or about August 22, 2023, and at times prior, employees were exposed to chemical, entrapment and struck-by hazards, in that employees who are required to enter, clean, and maintenance the Cleaner Tank were not trained in the hazards of permit confined spaces and the skills necessary to mitigate them.
