29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure. Extension cords (flex wiring) are used as a substitute for fixed wiring, exposing employees to electrical hazards. a.) On or about August 23, 2023 and at times prior thereto, in the equipment storage area adjacent to the dry oven area in the facility, an extension cord was wrapped around parts of the facility structure and was used as a substitute for fixed wiring. This exposes employees to an electrical hazard. b.) On or about August 23, 2023 and at times prior there to, in boiler room of the facility, an extension cord was wrapped around parts of the facility structure and was used as a substitute for fixed wiring. This exposes employees to an electrical hazard.
