29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv): Unless specifically permitted otherwise in paragraph (g)(1)(ii) of this section, flexible cords and cables may not be used: 29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(B): Where run through holes in walls, ceilings, or floors; a. On or about February 28, 2018, located in the Maintenance Shop, there was a box fan that was used as an exhaust for heat that had its flexible cord that was run through the wall between the maintenance shop and boiler room, thereby exposing the employees to a fire hazard.
