29 CFR 1910.1027(k)(1): Surfaces were not maintained as free as practicable of accumulations of cadmium: a) Furnace Control Room: On or about 4/6/2021, employees were exposed to hazards associated with cadmium exposure, in that surfaces were not maintained as free as practical from accumulations of cadmium to prevent ingestion and or transfer to other areas and surfaces. Quantitative wipe samples indicated the presence of cadmium at the monitor desk of 0.83 �g / 100 cm^2. b) Women's Locker Room: On or about 4/6/2021, employees were exposed to hazards associated with cadmium exposure, in that surfaces were not maintained as free as practical from accumulations of cadmium to prevent ingestion and or transfer to other areas and surfaces. Qualitative wipe samples indicated the presence of cadmium at the locker handle of 0.53 �g. c) Men's Locker Room: On or about 4/6/2021, employees were exposed to hazards associated with cadmium exposure, in that surfaces were not maintained as free as practical from accumulations of cadmium to prevent ingestion and or transfer to other areas and surfaces. Qualitative wipe samples indicated the presence of cadmium at the locker handle 0.24 �g.
