29 CFR 1910.1026(i)(1): The employer did not provide change rooms, in conformance with the Sanitation standard, 29 CFR 1910.141, for employees who were required to change their clothes to use protective clothing and equipment for chromium (VI) exposures: a) Production Area- Hexavalent Chrome Tank; On or about August 22, 2023, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to hexavalent chromium hazards, in that the employer does not provide a separate change room for employee's contaminated protective clothing and their street clothing after batching chromium phosphate. Employees were exposed to hexavalent chromium at levels that exceeded the permissible exposure level (PEL) of 0.005 mg/m3.
