29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one-fourth inch: The employer does not ensure that the distance between the grinding wheel periphery and the adjustable tongue or the end of the peripheral member at the top does not exceed one-fourth inch in the maintenance shop. a) This violation was observed on or about November 25, 2014, in the Headers area, exposing employees to the caught-in and struck-by hazards. b) This violation was observed on or about November 25, 2014, in the Assembly area, exposing employees to the caught-in and struck-by hazards. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation describing the steps that is taking to ensure the distance between the grinding wheel periphery and the adjustable tongue does not exceed one-fourth inch
