29 CFR 1910.141(e): Where employees were required by a particular standard to wear protective clothing because of the possibility of contamination with toxic materials, the employer did not provide change rooms equipped with storage facilities for street clothes. a) Production Area- Hexavalent Chrome Tank; On or about August 22, 2023, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to hexavalent chromium hazards, in that the employer does not provide a separate change room with separate storage facilities for employee's contaminated protective clothing and their street clothing after batching chromium phosphate. Employees were exposed to hexavalent chromium at levels that exceeded the permissible exposure level (PEL) of 0.005 mg/m3.
