Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 017A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.253(b)(1)(ii): Compressed gas cylinders were not legibly marked, for the purpose of identifying the gas content, with either the chemical or the trade name of the gas. a) This violation was observed on or about April 17, 2023, at the west wall of the facility north of the spray booth, where a small cylinder of acetylene was not properly labelled. b) This violation was observed on or about April 17, 2023, at the cylinder storage rack on the south side of the facility, where a cylinder of oxygen was not properly labelled. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation describing the steps taken to ensure all cylinders are properly marked and labeled.
