29 CFR 1910.265(c)(20)(ii): Machine(s) that created dust, shavings, chips, or slivers during a period of time equal to or greater than one-fourth of the working day were not equipped with collecting system(s): (a) Edger/Head Saw Area: On or about October 21, 2015, and times prior, the collection system for the head saw and edger was not operable, and therefore did not remove the combustible sawdust and shavings from the area. Sawdust up to 2 foot deep, had accumulated under, around and on top of the edger and head saw. (b) Cut-Off Saw: On or about October 21, 2015, and times prior, the cut-off saw was not equipped with a collection system to remove combustible sawdust and shavings from the area. Sawdust 2 foot up to 3 foot deep, had accumulated on, behind and around the saw. (c) Gang Saw Area: On or about October 21, 2015, and times prior, the gang saw was not equipped with a collection system to remove combustible saw dust and shavings from the area. Sawdust up to 2 foot deep had accumulated under, around and on top of the gang saw. (d) Planer Area: On or about October 21, 2015, and times prior, the planer area was not equipped with a collection system to remove combustible sawdust and shavings from the area. Sawdust 2 foot up to 3 foot deep had accumulated around the base of the planer, and 5 foot deep along the outside edge of the area.
