29 CFR 1910.252(b)(2)(iii): Workers and other persons adjacent to the welding area were not protected from the rays by noncombustible or flameproof screens or shields. This violation was observed on or about April 17, 2023, at the facility, where employees are not protected from welding rays by flame proof shields or screens. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation describing the steps that is taking to ensure workers and other persons adjacent welding areas are protected from the rays.
