29 CFR 1910.303(c)(3)(i): All splices and joints and the free ends of the conductors were not covered with an insulation equivalent to that of the conductors or with an insulating device identified for the purpose. On 5/2/17, at the Buford facility, in the Maintenance shop area, employees were exposed to electrical shock hazards as the electrical cord to the Wilton sander was spliced and then the splice wrapped in electrical tape only and did not provide an adequate outer sheath for protection. Equipment is 230 volt.
