29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: PAINTING AREA: On or about November 4, 2013, employees who perform painting operations were not provided with training that included measures that could be taken to protect themselves from the hazards of the chemicals they work with on a daily basis. Employees use epoxy primer, acrylic urethane enamel, and lacquer thinner. Ingredients include, but are not limited to: n-butyl acetate, butanone, 2-methoxy-1-methylethyl acetate, and hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI), toluene, acetone, petroleum distillates, and methanol.
