29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: a) Facility located at 360 Lambs Road, Sewell NJ, Warehouse/Production, B Bay: The right side of the Standard Bench Grinder, serial #26703, was not provided with a tongue guard, the distance between the abrasive wheel and the safety guard measured 1 inch, which exceeds the maximum opening of 1/4 inchon or about 10/3/2017. b) Facility located at 360 Lambs Road, Sewell NJ, Warehouse/Production, B Bay: The work rest located on the left side of the Standard Bench Grinder, serial #26703, was adjusted to 1/4 of an inch which exceeds the maximum opening of 1/4 inch, on or about 10/3/2017. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 AS PER 29 CFR 1903.19.
