29 CFR 1910.215(a)(4): Grinding machinery was not used with work rest(s) to support offhand grinding work. Work rest(s) on grinding machinery were not adjusted closely to the wheel with a maximum opening of one eighth inch: a) Facility located at 360 Lambs Road, Sewell NJ, Warehouse/Production, B Bay: The left side of the Standard Bench Grinder, serial #26703, was not provided with a work rest, on or about 10/3/2017. b) Facility located at 360 Lambs Road, Sewell NJ, Warehouse/Production, B Bay: The work rest located on the right side of the Standard Bench Grinder, serial #26703, was adjusted to 1 7/8 inches which exceeds the maximum opening of 1/8 inch, on or about 10/3/2017. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 AS PER 29 CFR 1903.19.
