29 CFR 1915.508(e)(2)(i): Each fire watch employee was not trained in basic fire behavior, different classes of fire, extinguishing agents, the stages of fire, and methods of extinguishing fires. On or about March 15, 2024, onboard the Cuyahoga vessel moored at the Port of Ashtabula, Kinder Morgan Pinney Dock; Minnesota slip, A/B dock side, the employer failed to train fire watch employees on the very basic elements of fighting a fire, including extinguishing agents and methods of extinguishing fires, exposing employees to asphyxiation hazards.
