29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: The employer used extension cords in place of permanent wiring in the following locations: a. First welding booth on left - a power strip with two extension cords was used to power a speaker and hand tools. b. Second welding booth on left - a small fridge was powered by an extension cord and power strip. c. Fourth welding booth - a small fridge was plugged into a power strip and a fan was plugged into an extension cord. d. Area adjacent to welding booths - the belt sander was plugged into a power strip and an extension cord. e. Laser Cutter - An extension cord was used to power a radio under the laser cutter. f. Paint prep area - multiple extensions cords were used to power microwave, radio, and chargers.
