29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: a. On or about January 25, 2018, in the machine shop along the east wall, the JET Electric Bench Grinder did not have the tongue guard adjusted to one fourth inch from the grinding wheel. b. On or about January 25, 2018, in the machine shop along the west wall work bench, the Bench Grinder did not have the tongue guard adjusted to one fourth inch from the grinding wheel. c. On or about January 25, 2018, in the machine shop by the lathes, the Dayton 8 inch Bench Grinder did not have the tongue guards adjusted to one fourth inch from the grinding wheel. d. On or about January 25, 2018, in the machine shop on the column facing the mills, the Dayton 10 inch Bench Grinder did not have the tongue guards adjusted to one fourth inch from the grinding wheel. e. On or about January 25, 2018, in the machine shop mounted to the column facing the lathes, the Baldor Grinder did not have the tongue guards adjusted to one fourth inch from the grinding wheel. f. On or about January 25, 2018, in the pipe shop along side the north wall, the Dayton 8 inch Bench Grinder did not have tongue guards adjusted to one fourth inch from the grinding wheel. g.
