29 CFR 1910.219(c)(4)(i): Unguarded projecting shaft end(s) did not present a smooth edge and end and projected more than one half the diameter of the shaft: a) 9000 River Rd, Delair, NJ, 08110- Building 3, Sutton 1 Press, Head Stretcher Rollers: : The projecting end of rotating shaft under the table structures which projected seven and one-quarter inches which was more than one-half of the diameter of the shaft, was not guarded. Employees performed work including, but not limited to, metal stretching, table manipulation, and cold saw operations in these areas, observed on or about 2/9/2017. b) 9000 River Rd, Delair, NJ, 08110- Building 6, Sutton 3 Press, Cold Saw Rollers: The projecting end of rotating shaft under the table structures which projected seven and one-quarter inches which was more than one-half of the diameter of the shaft was not guarded. Employees performed work including, but not limited to, metal stretching, table manipulation, and cold saw operations in these areas, observed on or about 2/9/2017. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
