29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(ii): Flexible cords were not used only in continuous lengths without splice or tap: a/ At the Kieserling Line, an orange, flexible cord was spliced together without brazing, welding, or soldering with a fusible metal or alloy. The splices and joints and the free ends of conductors were not covered with an insulation equivalent to that of the conductors or with an insulating device identified for the purpose. b/ At the Schumag Line, a flexible cord was spliced together without brazing, welding, or soldering with a fusible metal or alloy. The splices and joints and the free ends of conductors were not covered with an insulation equivalent to that of the conductors or with an insulating device identified for the purpose. This flexible cord was located between two sections of metal flooring. c/ At the Schumag Line, a flexible cord was spliced together without brazing, welding, or soldering with a fusible metal or alloy. The splices and joints and the free ends of conductors were not covered with an insulation equivalent to that of the conductors or with an insulating device identified for the purpose. This flexible cord was located on the metal grating running paralell to the line. d/ At the Schumag line, a flexible cord was spliced together without brazing, welding, or soldering with a fusible metal or alloy. This flexible cord was used to power a Makita Sander, m/n 9031, unknown s/n. e/ At Building #2, specifically the rear aisleway, an orange flexible cord was spliced together without brazing, welding, or soldering with a fusible metal or alloy. The splices and joints and the free ends of conductors were not covered with an insulation equivalent to that of the conductors or with an insulating device identified for the purpose. This flexible cord was powering a floor mounted fan.
