29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1): Powered industrial truck(s) found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe had not been taken out of service until restored to safe operating condition(s): The employer does not ensure forklifts found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe are out of service. This violation was observed on or about December 8, 2014, at the facility, exposing employees to falling loads and struck-by hazards. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, within (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation describing the steps that is taking to ensure forklifts with defects are removed from service until they are restored to a safe operating condition.
