29 CFR 1910.252(b)(2)(iii): Workers and other persons adjacent to the welding area were not protected from the rays by noncombustible or flameproof screens or shields or by the usage of appropriate goggles. a). Throughout the Shop Area- On or about and times prior to 20 February 2014, employees working adjacent to the MIG welding and tack welding areas were not protected from the rays generated from those processes, thus exposing employees to optical radiation hazards.
