29 CFR 1910.119(o)(1): The employer did not certify that they had evaluated comp liance with the provisions of 29 CFR 1910.119 at least every three years to veri fy that the procedures and practices developed under this standard were adequate and are being followed: This violation was observed on or about 1/19/2010, where the employer did not co nduct compliance audits of the practices used by personnel operating or maintain ing the oil & gas separation process equipment on the main deck of the EC2 Platf orm. Personnel were bypassing systems to circumvent alarms on the platform. This exposed employees to fire, explosion and highly hazardous chemicals (HHC). Purs uant to 29 CFR 1903.19(d), within 10 calendar days of the date of the citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps it is taking to ensure that personnel on EC2 are audited periodically to ensure that unauthorized practices are not oc curring and are in compliance.
