29 CFR 1910.1025(m)(2)(i) as referenced in 29 CFR 1915.1025: Warning signs bearing the legend: WARNING, LEAD WORK AREA, POISON, NO SMOKING OR EATING, were not posted in each work area where the permissible exposure limit (PEL) was exceeded: Location: 100 Military Ocean Terminal Street. Bayonne, New Jersey 07002. a) The employer did not post signage bearing the legend: WARNING, LEAD WORK AREA, POISON, NO SMOKING OR EATING, in areas where workers were exposed to levels of lead above the PEL. On June 26, 2023, An employee performing abrasive sand blasting operations in a salt water storage tank was exposed to respirable lead concentrations of 103 micrograms per cubic meter of air, as an 8-Hour Time Weighted Average, exceeding the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 50 micrograms per cubic meter of air by 2.06 times. Zero exposure was assumed for the unsampled period of 230 minutes. Violation occurred on or around June 26, 2023.
