29 CFR 1910.307(c): Equipment, wiring methods, and installations of equipment in hazardous (classified) locations were not intrinsically safe, approved for the hazardous (classified) location, or safe for the hazardous (classified) location: a) Mill Work Area: Electrical sources, such as, but not limited to, overhead fluorescent lights, a Hitachi miter saw model C12LSH, a DeWalt radial arm saw, 2x2 electrical receptacles behind both saws, a 460/265 volt disconnect switch, a DeWalt portable sander and an extension cord used for the DeWalt sander located in a Class II division I location, were not intrinsically safe, approved for a Class II Division I location or safe for a Class II division I location, on or about 4/3/18. b) Stair Mill Area: Electrical sources, such as, but not limited to, overhead fluorescent lights, a Wise Corporation Stair Router model 5200 serial number 5200-115, a DeWalt radial arm saw, a Powermatic table saw, a 600 volt disconnect switch, a 460/265 volt disconnect switch, a 208 volt disconnect switch, a Timesaver 100 sanding machine, a Mikron M645 multi molder serial number MRO449, an SCMI T110i shaper, an Extrema shaper, a Northtech planar model NT-24-10HCVS, the electrical control panel for the dust collection system and a Delta DJ-20 jointer located in a Class II division I location, were not intrinsically safe, approved for a Class II Division I location or safe for a Class II division I location, on or about 4/3/18. c) Interior Door Area: Electrical sources, such as, but not limited to, overhead fluorescent lights, two (2) 208 volt disconnect switches, two (2) DeWalt chop saws, a Wise Corporation door router model 8800E serial number 8800E-148, a 4x4 electrical receptacle, an extension cord powering one of the DeWalt chop saws, a power strip powering the extension cord of the chop saw, and a 2x2 electrical receptacle located in a Class II division I location, were not intrinsically safe, approved for a Class II Division I location or safe for a Class II division I location, on or about 4/3/18. d) Exterior Door Area: Electrical sources, such as, but not limited to, overhead fluorescent lighting, a DeWalt chop saw, a 2x2 electrical receptacle, a Porter and Cable router model 6902 and a Triad Router located in a Class II division I location, were not intrinsically safe, approved for a Class II Division I location or safe for a Class II division I location, on or about 4/3/18. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
