29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(iii): Employee training shall include at least the measures employees can take to protect themselves from these hazards, including specific procedures the employer has implemented to protect employees from exposure to hazardous chemicals, such as appropriate work practices, emergency procedures, and personal protective equipment to be used: (a) Mixing Department: On or about November 14, 2021 and times prior, employees working with tandem mixing processes with ingredients producing flammable ethanol gas were not provided training on methods to protect themselves from hazardous build-up of flammable gas in the mixers. (b) Mixing Department: On or about November 14, 2021 and times prior, employees working with tandem mixing processes with ingredients releasing water/moisture into the mixer were not provided training on methods to protect themselves from hazardous build-up of pressure from water vapor in the mixers.
