Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 013B Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.1052(i)(2): Where reasonably foreseeable that an employee's eyes may contact solutions containing 0.1 percent or greater methylene chloride, the employer did not provide appropriate eyewash facilities within the immediate work area for emergency use: On or about October 8, 2014, in the machine shop, where employees were spray coating castings with aerosol Crack Check DNF Developer for crack checking and cleaning castings with Crack Check CNF Cleaner for I.D. marking, the eyewash was not available for immediate emergency use in that rust-contaminated water flowed from the eyewash when tested, exposing employees to the hazards of contact with methylene chloride.
