Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 013B Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.147(f)(3)(ii)(D): Each authorized employee did not affix a personal lockout or tagout device to the group lockout device before working on the machine or equipment: a. Sanitation - On or about February 17, 2022, employees were engaged in sanitation work cleaning second process equipment while working under the "USDA" locks affixed by the supervisor, exposing the employees to a caught in hazard. b. Sanitation - On or about March 24, 2022, the employees of the temp agency Sanitation Solutions Plus were conducting sanitation operations on the turkey kill side with the equipment locked out by the supervisor, exposing employees to a caught in hazard. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
