Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 013A Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(12): Unprotected sides and edges of stairway landings shall be provided with guardrail systems. Guardrail system criteria are contained in subpart M of this part. a. On or about August 4, 2016, located at the southeastern stairway landing between the 5th and 6th floors, there were no guardrails on the western side of the landing, thereby exposing the employees to a fall hazard of approximately 30 feet. b. On or about August 4, 2016, located at the southern center stairway landing between the 5th and 6th floors, there were no guardrails on the eastern side of the landing, thereby exposing the employees to a fall hazard of approximately 30 feet. c. On or about August 4, 2016, located at the southeastern stairway landing on the 7th floor, there were no guardrails on the western side of the landing, thereby exposing the employees to a fall hazard of approximately 48 feet.
