29 CFR 1910.184(f)(5)(iii): Wire rope sling(s) that had kinking, crushing, bird caging or other damage resulting in distortion of the wire rope structure were not immediately removed from service: A.) Vortex Recycling/Pre-Stage Area - On or about 8/16/12 and at times prior thereto, the wire rope sling displayed signs of crushing on the areas inside the slings eyelets. The wire rope sling was utilized for lifting activities with the P & H Crane. These activities included but were not limited to lifting Sea Containers.
