Throughout the Facility: The Hot Work Permits being utilized by the employer did not document that the fire prevention and protection requirements in 29 CFR 1910.252(a) were being implemented prior to the beginning of hot work operations nor did it specify the object in which the work was to be performed. Abatement certification is required for this violation. The abatement certification sheet is enclosed with the citations.
