29 CFR 1915.503(a)(2)(i): Before authorizing hot work in a non-designated area the employer did not visually inspect the area where hot work was performed, including adjacent areas to ensure the area was free from fire hazards. Bldg 31C20T, Temporary Fabric Shelter, LCAC-90: On or before March 14th, 2024, employee(s) were tasked to conduct hot work operations in fuel cell #3. Before authorizing the hot work on LCAC-90 the employer did not visually inspect the areas to ensure it was free from fire hazard(s). Employee(s) were potentially exposed to fire hazard(s) and/or atmospheric hazard(s).
