Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 013 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.265(c)(5)(i): Construction. Stairways shall be constructed in accordance with 29 CFR part 1910, subpart D: a) On or about June 29, 2023, at a workplace located at 5843 Tower Drive, Florence, Wisconsin in the Sawmill; employees utilizing the fixed stairs leading up to the Swecan operator's station, were exposed to potential fall and/or tripping hazards from the damaged and uneven stair risers. b) On or about June 29, 2023, at a workplace located at 5843 Tower Drive, Florence, Wisconsin in the Sawmill; employees were exposed to potential trip and/or fall hazards from the stair tread leading from the "Turtle" up onto the elevated walkway not having a minimum tread depth of 9.5 inches. c) On or about June 28, 2023, at a workplace located at 5843 Tower Drive, Florence, Wisconsin on the exterior of the Sawmill; employees accessing the elevated work platform for the Green Saw Dust Trailers were exposed to potential fall hazards due to the stair railing being damaged and not connected at the base of the railing.
