29 CFR 1915.507(b)(1): The portable fire extinguishers and hose systems were not selected, installed, inspected, maintained, and tested by the employer according to NFPA 10-2002 Standard for Portable Fire Extinguishers. A) 7 Mosquito Lane, Tuckahoe, NJ: The employer failed to ensure that fire extinguishers were maintained in safe operating conditions, exposing employees to fire hazard(s). Condition observed on or about 23JAN20. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
