29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Facility located at 360 Lambs Road, Sewell, NJ, Warehouse/Production, A Bay: The Bridgeport milling machine, serial number 109910, was not provided with a guard which would protect the operator from the rotating chuck, splashing coolant or the flying chips, on or about 9/19/2017. b)a) Facility located at 360 Lambs Road, Sewell, NJ, Warehouse/Production, A Bay: The guard to the HE&M band saw was not adjusted to the height of the product, on or about 9/19/2017. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 AS PER 29 CFR 1903.19.
