29 CFR 1910.335(a)(1)(i): Employees working in areas where there are potential electrical hazards shall be provided with, and shall use, electrical protective equipment that is appropriate for the specific parts of the body to be protected and for the work to be performed. a. On or about January 3, 2017, employees performed electrical work in electrical panels as high as 480 VAC without being provided with and being required to wear the appropriate PPE, i.e. arc-rated face shields, properly inspected and insulated gloves, face/neck protection, electrically-rated sleeves, etc. to protect the employees from an electrical shock and/or arc flash/blast event.
