29 CFR 1910.305(b)(1)(ii): Unused openings in boxes, cabinets, or fittings are not effectively closed Location: Work floor This violations was observed on November 28trh, 2016, when employees were exposed to electric shocks when using electrical receptacles and light switches with missing knockouts. 1) Floor light switch at doorway leading from work floor to office 2) Receptacle box lying on bottom shelf of pallet repair table 5 3) Receptacle box lying on bottom shelf of pallet repair table 6 4) Receptacle box 16 inches above the floor at Table 10 To abate this violation, the employer must ensure that all unused openings in boxes, cabinets, and fittings are effectively closed. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, the employer must submit documents describing the steps it is taking to ensure compliance.
