29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: (a) On or about July 7, 2016, the employer failed to protect employees from trip, electric shock, and smoke/fire hazards, in that flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure in the following instances: 1. In the spray area, a flexible extension cord ran from a ceiling-mounted fan and was plugged into an outlet located adjacent to the spray area. 2. Near the spray area, a flexible extension cord ran from the Duro Dyne Powered Liner Sizer and was plugged into an outlet located adjacent to the spray area. Abatement certification is required for this item; use the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET for this purpose.
