29 CFR 1910.1027(d)(1)(i): The employer did not determine whether any employee was exposed to cadmium at or above the action level: a) Patco Area, Strip and Wash Building, on or about 12/1/15: An employee plasma cutting the undercarriage of a rail car was exposed to 6.02 micrograms per cubic meter of cadmium as an 8-hr. time weighted average (TWA), 1.2 times the permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 5 micrograms per cubic meter and and 2.4 times the action level of 2.5 micg/m3, during the 413 minute sampling period. A zero increment was included for the 67 minutes not sampled. The employer failed to determine employee exposure to cadmium above the action level. Abatement documentation must be submitted for this item
