29 CFR 1910.1026(f)(1)(i): Feasible engineering controls and work practices were not instituted to reduce and maintain employee exposures to chromium (VI) at or below the permissible exposure limit: a) At 355 Paul Avenue in St. Louis, MO 63135 (Fabrication Area) - On or about 11/03/2016, a TIG welder sampled for 422 minutes had a TWA of 19.0 micrograms per cubic meter of air when non-sampled time was counted as zero exposure, and the employer failed to institute feasible engineering controls and workplace practices to reduce and maintain employee exposures to chromium (VI) at or below the permissible exposure limit. b) At 355 Paul Avenue in St. Louis, MO 63135 (Fabrication Area) - On or about 11/03/2016, a MIG welder sampled for 475 minutes had a TWA of 7.3 micrograms per cubic meter of air when non-sampled time was counted as zero exposure, and the employer failed to institute feasible engineering controls and workplace practices to reduce and maintain employee exposures to chromium (VI) at or below the permissible exposure limit. .
