29 CFR 1910.184(d): Each day before being used, the sling and all fastenings and attachments were not being inspected for damage or defects by a competent person designated by the employer: A.) Warren Railcar Service, Inc., - On or about 8/19/15, and at times prior thereto, wire rope slings were not inspected prior to use each day for deficiencies. Wire rope slings had damage and defects. The damage/defects included but were not limited to, kinks, bird caging, and bends.
