1910.146(d)(4)(viii) * Permit-required confined space program (permit space program). Under the permit space program required by paragraph (c)(4) of this section, the employer shall: Provide the following equipment (specified in paragraphs (d)(4)(i) through (d)(4)(ix) of this section) at no cost to employees, maintain that equipment properly, and ensure that employees use that equipment properly: Rescue and emergency equipment needed to comply with paragraph (d)(9) of this section, except to the extent that the equipment is provided by rescue services; Emergency equipment not maintained or inspected by employer. 1. Confined Space rescue equipment - Maintenance Shop-Back. 2. SCBA in case in Process Unit building. 3. Fire hose and fittings in equipment box south of Process Unit.
