29 CFR 1910.1025(g)(1)(iii) as referenced in 29 CFR 1915.1025: The employer did not ensure that face shields, vented goggles, or other appropriate protective equipment which complies with 1910.133 of this Part was used. Location: 100 Military Ocean Terminal Street. Bayonne, New Jersey 07002. a) The employer did not ensure safety glasses, safety goggles, or blasting helmets were used by employees performing abrasive blasting. On June 26, 2023, An employee performing abrasive sand blasting operations in an empty salt water storage tank was exposed to respirable lead concentrations of 103 micrograms per cubic meter of air, as an 8-Hour Time Weighted Average, exceeding the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 50 micrograms per cubic meter of air by 2.06 times. Zero exposure was assumed for the unsampled period of 230 minutes. Violation occurred on or around June 26, 2023.
