29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: (a) On or about April 14, 2017 and times prior thereto at Maintenance Area, employees operated a Baldor bench grinder with tongue guard that was 1.5 inch from the wheel (left wheel). (b) On or about April 14, 2017 and times prior thereto at Maintenance Area, employees operated a Baldor bench grinder with tongue guard 3/4 inch from the wheel (right wheel).
