Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 012A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1): A written respiratory protection program that included the provisions in 29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1)(i) - (ix) with worksite specific procedures was not established and implemented for required respirator use: a. On or about October 7, 2014, yard, the employer did not develop and implement a written respiratory protection program with work-site specific procedures for employees who were required to wear respirators that included but were not limited to 3M half mask air purifying elastomeric respirators during primer and coating spray operations on metal structures for oil/gas drilling operations. Employees who conducted spray operations were exposed to hazardous airborne chemicals that include but are not limited to isophorone diisocyante, mineral spirits, xylene, n-butyl acetate, acetone, and parachlorobenzotrifluoride.
