29 CFR 1910.184(d): Each day before being used, the sling and all fastenings and attachments were not being inspected for damage or defects by a competent person designated by the employer: (a) Core Stacking Area: on or about and at times prior to April 24, 2024, an eight-foot nylon sling was worn and damaged, exposing the inner core threads. The sling was being used to lift and position a steel frame for the transformer core weighing up to 500 pounds.
