29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords and cables were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief was provided that would prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws: (a) Piping mill - On or about January 25, 2024, the employer failed to repair the broken strain relief on the power supply cord to the drill press which allowed pull to the terminal screws on the 440v electrical wire exposing employees to electrical hazards. (b) Coating mill - On or about January 25, 2024, the employer failed to repair the broken strain relief on the power supply cord to the plasma cutter which allowed pull to the terminal screws at the electrical panel and at the plasma handle on the 240v wire exposing employees to electrical hazards. (c) Coating mill - On or about January 25, 2024, the employer failed to repair the broken strain relief on the power supply cord to the V-Roller generator which allowed pull to the terminal screws on the 220v wire exposing employees to electrical hazards.
