29 CFR 1910.1025(c)(1): Employee(s) were exposed to lead at concentrations greater than fifty micrograms per cubic meter of air averaged over an eight-hour period: Employees working in the scale house cutting cable containing lead were exposed to at an 8-hour time weighted average (TWA) over the permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 0.05 mg/m3. (a) On September 2, 2015 one scale house worker was exposed to lead at an 8-hour TWA of 0.072 mg/m3 of air, approximately 1.45 times the PEL of 0.050 mg/m3. Sampling was performed for 472 minutes. Zero exposure was assumed for the 8 minute period not sampled; (b) On October 8, 2015 one scale house worker was exposed to lead at an 8-hour TWA of 0.068 mg/m3 of air, approximately 1.37 times the PEL of 0.050 mg/m3. Sampling was performed for 472 minutes. Zero exposure was assumed for the 8 minute period not sampled; (c) On October 8, 2015 one scale house worker was exposed to lead at an 8-hour TWA of 0.164 mg/m3 of air, approximately 3.27 times the PEL of 0.050 mg/m3. Sampling was performed for 473 minutes. Zero exposure was assumed for the 7 minute period not sampled.
