29 CFR 1910.184(c)(2): Makeshift device(s), knot(s) or bolt(s) were used to shorten sling(s) On or about October 8, 2014, and at times prior thereto, the alloy steel sling used in the AmStock Department was shortened with two blocks of wood, exposing employees to the hazards of being struck by/crushed by falling loads in the event the sling should break.
